The Stonelick Township Fire & Rescue was established May 1, 2006 from the former Owensville Fire Department. STFD is a full service fire department providing 24 hour fire and paramedic service out of two stations.

Station 40 located at 2541 U.S. 50 covering the south portion of the township, is the department’s headquarters. There are 2-3 FF/EMT/Paramedics working 24 hour shifts along with the Fire Chief , Assistant Chief  and EMS Captain working Monday through Friday . Volunteers supplement the paid staff. The station operates with 2- Rescue/Engines, 1- 100’ Aerial Tower, 2- Advanced Life Support EMS units, 1- Staff Car, 1- Mini Pumper and 1- ATV.

Station 41 is located at 5750 Stonelick Williams Corner Road and covers the northern part of the township. There are 

2 FF/EMT/Paramedics working 24 hour shifts and supplemented with volunteers. The station operates with 1- Rescue/Engine and 1- Advanced Life Support EMS unit.

Other services provided by STFD include, fire safety inspections, public fire education, CPR training, and the issuance of burn permits for the township.

The Stonelick Township Firefighters Association is an organization that does fundraising events with the purpose of giving back to the fire department and/or the community.
